JUNIOR YOUTH GROUP	All high school age youth are invited to attend SJYG events.  Meetings are 6:15 – 8 p.m. in the Upper Room.  All youth in Grades 5 – 8!  The Junior Youth Group is now renamed “Can-do Company”  (Jeremiah 1:  4 – 8) Even though the Senior and Junior Youth Groups will not be meeting regularly during the summer, Father Nick is working on a special event in August for all of our youth.

Even though the Senior and Junior Youth Groups will not be meeting regularly during the summer, Father Nick is working on a special event in August for all of our youth.           All high school students are encouraged to come and see what St. Joseph’s Youth Group is all about!  Many events are being planned now and it would be wonderful to have everyone’s input.  Please e-mail any questions to sjyg@snet.net.        To memorialize the Sanctuary Lamp, please send your name, phone number, the name of the person to be remembered, and a $25 donation to the Parish Office.       IRISH NIGHT St. Joseph’s Youth Group is hosting its annual Irish Night on Saturday, March 6 in the School Gym.  Music will be provided by Joe Heeran & Music in the Glen from 7 - 11 p.m.  Tickets are $23 each and include dinner, music, dancing and set ups (cups and ice – bring your own beverages).  Tickets will be sold after all Masses this weekend, February 13/14, February 20/21 and February 27/28.  Tickets will not be sold at the door!  Questions can be e-mailed to sjyg@snet.net or call 203-727-3616.
Monitoring Pop Culture	Focus on the Family is a magazine. that is published monthly.  Their web site is http://WWW.FAMILY.ORG A recent article in the magazine talkies about Monitoring Pop Culture.   Information can be found at http://WWW.pluggedinmag.com The article states that it is designed for parents and youth leaders.  It provides reviews of newest movies, video releases and prime-time television.  Parents!!  To check whether or not a film is suitable for your children, call 1-800-311-4222, the Movie Review Line, sponsored by the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops.
